Ms. Bingham is certified in MRT and trained as an EMDR therapist. Her approach is based on a whole person perspective, supporting individuals in the exploration of their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. She encourages clients to take an active role in their treatment and outcome while increasing self-worth, resiliency and skills to overcome future barriers.
In addition to talk therapy, Ms. Bingham has specialized training in EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy. EMDR is a method of psychotherapy that has been widely researched as an effective method of treatment for trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and disturbing memories. EMDR can also be effective in the treating anxiety and depression as well. EMDR is an integrative psychotherapeutic approach that assists an individual to process memories and promote emotional healing. EMDR has been recognized by both the American Psychiatric Association and the United States Department of Defense as an effective form of treatment for trauma.
