Every day, people from all walks of life come to CCPC seeking help with one of the most basic aspects of life: food! It is CCPC’s vision to provide food to everyone who is food-insecure in Summit and Wasatch Counties. In order to help CCPC expand our services and raise awareness about this need, we depend on the generous support of individuals, foundations and corporations.
The Christian Center of Park City has been fighting to end hunger in our community for over 19 years.
Fighting Hunger During the Holidays
Holiday Meals and Turkeys
Food pantry patrons can receive a frozen turkey and ready to cook sides November 19-24 at the Park City and Heber Valley food pantries. Our pantries anticipate serving a combined total of 2,400 check-ins during the holiday season.
This includes food deliveries to the Goshute and Navajo Reservations. CCPC will purchase roughly $20,000 in food supplies to augment the support we receive from food drives and donations in order to meet the increased need.
Food drives during the holidays typically total 30,000 pounds of shelf-stable food. This food keeps our pantries well-stocked into the next year.
Ways You Can Help This Holiday Season
There are multiple ways you can join our efforts to fight hunger this season!
Donate to the Park City Board of Realtors’ annual Turkey Drive.
Host a food drive! This year, in addition to traditional holiday food familiar to most Americans, we will be offering foods more familiar to our LatinX pantry guests. Items include: masa mix, dried beans and rice, canned tomatillos, dried or fresh chilis, fresh onions and garlic, green beans, stuffing mix, gravy packets, sweet potatoes, baking potatoes, flour and sugar, spices.
Give directly to our pantry by selecting “Food Panty” on our giving page.
Volunteer! We will need help unloading and distributing turkeys and holiday foods at both pantry locations. Use this link to fill out a volunteer application, and this link to sign up for a shift in our Park City pantry, or this link for a shift helping with Thanksgiving meals at our Heber location.

Both CCPC pantries are part of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This includes eligibility pre-screenings, application assistance, assistance obtaining verification documents, information dissemination and local farmer's markets. Please see the pantry staff in either of our Park City of Heber Valley locations for more information.
Our food pantries depend on the support of food drives. These supplemental food drives help us provide items that are not frequently rescued from grocery stores. Our pantries frequently need infant formula, jars of baby food, diapers, adult diapers, and personal hygiene items. Financial donations are always appreciated as well.
Snacks in Backpacks
Snacks in Backpacks is a program that provides supplemental nutrition to vulnerable children in our community as identified in collaboration with the Park City School District and the Wasatch County School District. Collaboration through the school districts is essential in identifying the most food vulnerable children in the communities of the Wasatch Back. CCPC has partnered with Eat Awesome Things (EATS), a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering and growing healthy communities, to provide nutrient-dense and minimally-processed supplemental food for the program.
Snack bags for children are available in our food pantries throughout the summer.
Hike for Hunger
CCPC’s annual Hike For Hunger raises awareness around local hunger concerns while highlighting our community’s efforts to achieve Zero Food Waste in Park City by diverting food to those in need. This family-friendly and community event brings the community together to better understand and have compassion for those less fortunate in our own communities.
