Employment Resources
Department of Workforce Services
The Christian Center continues as a member of the Mountainlands Regional Council for the Department of Workforce Service. Locally we post job listings and contact information for individuals willing to work. We also participate in local job fairs—gleaning information to offer those seeking employment. We offer job leads to hundreds of seasonal workers here for the winter months. Several years ago we implemented the ‘Workplace Essential Skills’ training as part of our ‘HandyHands’ initiative. We have hosted the regional council at the Christian Center, and have built strong ties with leaders and employers along the Wasatch Front Range. If you are in need of workers, or leads for a temporary job, please contact the Center and speak with Rob Harter.
HandyHands
Thousands in our communities are out of work, under-employed, even desperate! The Christian Center of Park City has established an employment service to help support and prepare reliable entry-level workers to find temporary and/or full-time jobs.
The HandyHands program works in partnership with Utah’s Department of Workforce Services. It is designed to help people become more marketable in the workplace. Our training session provide the necessary tools needed to further ones career. We want to help people succeed through strengthened job skills, growth in ones spiritual walk, and joy in life.
HandyHands is an employment service arm of the Christian Center of Park City. We believe work is good for everyone. We believe it is our privilege to work, and that work is a personal expression of a loving God who wants our lives be creative, productive, and fulfilling.
HandyHands services are available by scheduling a personal training session. During that time our staff will assist you in the area of your particular need.
HandyHands will help you work through a plan toward more successful employment. There are five interrelated parts to that plan. All parts are optional. You can choose those most helpful to you. Taken together they provide the greatest advantage.
- Attending a devotional time for encouragement as you transition from one job to another.
- Organizing your information and preparing a work-search notebook.
- Viewing and responding to a series of videos for employment related training.
- Following through with contacts, networking, tracking leads, and reporting.

The goal of HandyHands is that you will be able to take the next step forward in your pathway to a more fulfilling life and successful employment.
