Christmas Gift Program
We're doing it again in 2008! For one week in December the Center will give out hundreds of Christmas gifts daily to needy families.
Initiated five years ago, the Christmas Gift program has grown considerably. In the fall of 2006, all of the Park City gifting agencies met at the Christian Center to coordinate their efforts. At the end of 2007, the Center facilitated the gifting program for six churches and dozens of groups, linking them with over 600 names from our Food Pantry, Summit County Mental Health, and public school counselors.
This winter—2008—we anticipate serving 250 families—more than the 230 families served last year. Donations are coming in from six participating churches, businesses and real estate agencies, personal friends, and many generous families from across our community. Last year 1,200 gifts were given out. Please call Linda at the Center Office (435-649-2260) to sign up for a family of your choice. We have a waiting list just hoping and praying you will call and select their name!
